Text

Transparent, the award-winning TV show by Jill Soloway, who identifies as genderqueer, represents a new stage in the popularization of Shekhinah energy. The show, which debuted in 2014, is about a Jewish family in which the father, born Mort Pfefferman, identifies as a woman and finally embraces and embodies that identity as Maura Pfefferman, also known to her children as “Moppa.”
