Text

Attending a Passover Seder remains a common observance among many contemporary Jews, even for those who do not actively observe Judaism. Demographic studies consistently find that attending a seder is the most observed of all Jewish ritual practices. President Barack and Michelle Obama host a yearly White House seder. This tradition originated with Jewish campaign staffers who conducted the ritual during the 2008 presidential campaign.
